We’ve known all along that it was only a matter of time until the ball got rolling on our media recognition. Now, it’s rolling at warp speed!

Our President/Founder, Ken Agee, was featured in yet another great article, this time by Popular Science magazine. In it, he discusses how investing in biofuels, a key part of the megatrend of decarbonization, can directly support forms of renewable energy such as EFT’s sustainable transportation fuels. Wind turbines, he explains, run into difficulty managing the erratic shifts in power demand between day and night, as their technology is dependent on wind levels. Meanwhile, biofuels can power generators, ships, trucks, and yes, commercial and military jets—at any time of day.

The government has jumped onboard and recognized biofuels, with the US Department of Energy announcing its plan to invest $100 million into basic research and tech development to produce biomaterials, bioproducts, and of course, biofuels—such as the ones we at EFT are already creating from waste. The US Department of Agriculture has also elected to allocate up to $800 million(!) into biofuel producers and infrastructure.

This also comes after major airlines announced they will be making considerable efforts to increase their use of sustainable aviation fuels (and do we need to remind you that EFT helped produce the first ever fossil-free jet fuel?). To read what Ken had to say, and for details on this promising development for biofuels, check out the full article
