December has officially begun, and though the holiday season approaches rapidly, our work to decarbonize the fuel world carries on. Here’s another update from the folks at EFT. Please remember, you can join this fight by investing. Click here to learn more.

The fight against methane has kicked up yet another notch, as lawmakers piled on the pressure Thursday for companies to disclose more data about their methane emission practices. The order comes from the House Science Committee and extends to the chief executives of ten major oil companies, whose current approach to monitoring methane emissions the committee believes to be inadequate. This is one of the first in a long series of actions to be taken after more than 100 countries signed on to a pledge to curb emissions of the harmful greenhouse gas by 30%, setting 2030 as the deadline. Why is this important for EFT? Because the more power gets taken away from methane and high-polluting companies, the more power we gain by offering sustainable methods of fossil-free fuel production. Meanwhile, CleanTechnica, the leading site in the US for cleantech news and commentary, wrote about the possibility of a renewable future for Air Force One. As you may have heard, EFT recently partnered with the next-gen energy company Twelve to produce E-Jet®, the first-ever fossil-free jet fuel, for possible implementation by the U.S. Air Force. Now, Twelve is working to produce a new jet engine compatible with E-Jet that would allow for supersonic travel speeds. If all goes well, Air Force One may be the next government aircraft in line to adopt a clean fuel solution. To read about the path there, check out the full article here.
