Reference Projects

Two reference projects with different feedstocks, scales, and products demonstrate the flexibility of EFT's technology.

  • Twelve’s “first-of-its-kind” facility, AirPlant One, opened in June 2026.
  • AirPlant will produce sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) from biogenic CO2, water, and renewable electricity (also known as “Power-to-Liquid” or “e-Fuel”).
  • EFT's Fischer-Tropsch + Maxx Jet upgrading technology is at the heart of what Twelve calls the first commercial e-SAF plant in the US.

  • This project will provide energy security and employment to the indigenous people living 50km from the Arctic Circle.
  • EFT is providing reformer, Fischer-Tropsch reactor catalyst, and upgrading unit technology to produce finished low-carbon diesel from stranded natural gas.

  • 625 barrels per day production targeted for 2027.

Nordic Electrofuel AS will build one of Europe’s first commercial Power-to-Liquid jet fuel plant at Herøya, Porsgrunn, Norway. The plant will produce high-quality, carbon-neutral, synthetic fuels and other fossil replacement products, based on water, CO2, and renewable power.

Biomass Licensees/MOUs

Based in Vancouver, Canada, Highbury Energy produces negative carbon intensity fuels from diverse biomass feedstocks using its patented dual-fluidized-bed steam gasification technology. This process converts waste biomass into renewable fuel gas (RFG), a key feedstock for renewable diesel and SAF.
